It's amazing how adding one more string to a bass guitar can really play with your head. This is going to take some getting used to.
We had another good practice tonight. We should be ready to tear up the new year. Bring on the party!
Just two more days till the party of the Year at the Sport Center in Delta!

A Christmas Eve Eve Rehearsal.
Practice was productive tonight. It was kind of strange having a rehearsal on a week night, but it worked.
Evan had to work later than expected, so rehearsal time was pushed back to 5:00. It worked out fine.
I passed out a few business cards among everyone. Once we get a few distributed, maybe this will generate some gigs.
Thanks to Evan's wife Melissa for the Christmas cakes and cookies. Good stuff!

Rehearsal Postponed Due To Illness. Sorry.
The regularly scheduled band rehearsal is being postponed due to the fact that I am sick. I could probably do it, but this close to the holidays is a very bad time to spread a bad cold around. I think missing this rehearsal would be a good idea. Sorry guys.

Ordered A Banner!
I ordered a Banner and a second design of business cards today. We should have plenty of business cards for a while. They should be here in another 21 days from today. Now, if we only get them here sooner, so we can start passing them out!

Delta Elks Lodge Was Cancelled.
I got a text message from Evan today. He told me that Ben has cancelled the gig at the Elks Lodge in Delta on March 26th.
Sorry for the inconvenience folks. It won't be long and we'll be back in there.

I Am SO Ready To Jam Today!
Evan sent me a text this morning pushing the 1:00 PM rehearsal time back to 2:00 PM. I am chomping at the bit today to go do some jammin' today.
It was an awesome rehearsal today. Very productive and fun. We went through a lot of songs today and they seem to flow nicely.
Cabin Fever will be playing the second half of the night on New Years Eve at the Sport Center. Ben and Susan of "Switchback" are wanting to get out early, so I guess everyone, except Ben is going to donate $25.00 of the nights pay to Chad.

"Cabin Fever" Business Cards Are On The Way.
I am having some business cards made for the band. I designed and ordered 500 of them. They should be here before the New Years Eve gig at the Sport Center. Hopefully we will get a few of them passed around.

I also have a second card design. Which do you think is better? I think I will be going with these on the next order.

Here is an idea for a band logo. Send me a comment on what you think.

Awesome Rehearsal Today.
I headed for Olathe about 11:30 for some Cabin Fever rehearsal time. Everyone showed up and we had a very productive practice. We are getting a good list of songs. I sure hope we get a gig pretty soon. I'm getting anxious to play.
I tried to use my cell phone to record our rehearsal today, but the room we practice in is just a little to small and we were too loud. You can tell what songs we are playing, but they are distorted so bad that you can't hardly understand the vocals. Someday, I will get the ambition to bring my laptop to a gig when we have the drums and everything ran through the system and try to record us that way. I think that will probably work a whole lot better.
Evan had to go get some family pictures taken tonight at 6:00, so we had to end practice a little early today.

Rehearsals Held in Evan's Basement Today.
Another nice rehearsal today.
We are utilizing Evan's basement for rehearsals. There seems to be a lot more room, and we don't have to setup and tear down for every practice. That sure makes things a lot easier and more productive. We could use all the rehearsal time we can get.
I think we will be ready for bookings in the very near future. I am looking forward to it.

A Rockin' First Rehearsal!
We had our First official Rehearsal today for Cabin Fever. It went great. We came up with more stuff that we hadn't played in 15 years. Everything we played seemed to click pretty well.
Andy Fish took us up on the offer to play drums for us. He ought to fit in well once he gets the feel for the music and gets to know everyone's playing habits. Just a little rehearsal time to tighten things up and we'll be ready to rock any town we play in.
I can't wait to get the ball rolling again. It's gonna be a good time.

Cabin Fever Is Officially Back Together.
Evan Hyde called me today and informed me that, after 1 year of playing, Ben and Susan will be finishing out the year and calling it quits with "Switchback".
So... Today, about 12 years after disbanding, "The Cabin Fever Band" has officially reformed. Our first official rehearsal will take place this Sunday at Evan Hyde's house at 1:00 PM.
Original members; Evan Hyde, Chad Schmalz and myself, Kevin Robinson have been in talks about the reforming of the band for a few months now. A drummer position is still in the works, but we are confident that Andy Fish will fill the position.
