Throttle and Spur Saloon.

Played the Throttle and Spur Saloon again tonight.

Jason came up once again from Grand Junction to set in with us on the drums in place of Andy while he he recovers from a knee injury and recent illness. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Andy for a speedy recovery.

Had a slow start for a crowd, but picked up and the night progressed. It was another great time.

We tore down and headed for Home a little after 2:00 AM.

Sam's Tavern.

Played Sam's Tavern.

Andy is down with a bad knee, so we had to find another drummer to set in for Andy. Evan found Jason from Grand Junction. He is kind of a freelance drummer.

Played for only about 20 people. Everyone was kind of nervous at the start, but everything seemed to work pretty good. Some songs were rocky. But then there some songs that came really good. Everybody finally relaxed and had a good time.

Throttle and Spur Saloon.

Played the Throttle and Spur Saloon tonight.

A laid back and mellow crowd tonight. At least till about midnight. A few younger people came in and it seemed like all they want to do was fight everyone.

There was a few near scraps in the parking lot while we were trying to load out equipment. I remember my first beer...

Thanks to the Throttle and Spur Saloon for having us out!

Sam's Tavern Re-Grand Opening.

Played Sam's Tavern this weekend. They did a little bit of remodeling. Nothing major. Changed out the old, smoke crusted and broken ceiling tiles. Also, got some new chairs and hung new Budweiser murals on the walls.

Seems like everyone was hell bent on getting hurt.

Miss Lilly, an elderly lady who comes in from time to time, comes up to the band stand and pats all the band members on the ass, tripped and fell. She injured her hip. An ambulance was called and they took her to the hospital.

The show goes on...

A couple other folks fell on the dance floor, but they weren't injured.

Turned out to be a good time. Everyone seemed to have a blast!

Tore down and packed up. One more injury happened. Dennis Ostrum had a little too much to drink and face planted on the sidewalk in front of the bar. He had a couple good cuts on his face. One looked like it may need stitches.

Strange events...

Thanks to Sam's  for having us out!

Throttle and Spur Saloon.

Setup amidst a good crowd of people who were in the middle of a pool tournament. They were nearly finished when we hauled equipment in.

They were also having a beast cancer awareness benefit.

Evan had gotten a new acoustic guitar for his birthday last week and debuted it tonight. Nice sounding guitar.

We had an awesome night! Estimate a crowd of about 60 folks turned. Most of them even danced. It was great time!

Played till 1:30 AM.

Sam's Tavern..

Played Sam's Tavern again for the first time in 2 months.

Played for about 25 folks. Played some old stuff that we haven't touched on in 25 plus years. We had another great time and, as far as we could tell, so did everyone who came out.

Tam Graham's Cow Camp.

Went up on the Uncompahgre Plateau. Played the 18th Annual Labor Day Cow Camp Party.

We had an awesome time! Great food and great entertainment!

Started immediately at the end of the donkey races.

Played two sets back to back. After the sun went down it cooled off a bit, so most folks hung out around the fire. I think everyone enjoyed themselves thoroughly. I know we did!

Most of the band stayed over night. Packed up in the morning.

A big thanks goes out to Tam and Deana Graham for having us up. Looking forward to maybe doing it again next year for the 19th!

Central Station

Played Central Station in Grand Junction  last night.

We didn't have quite the turnout this time. Probably the fact that that it's Labor Day Weekend and folks are busy doing other things. None the less, we had a good time!

Played two sets. Got out of there about 12:30 AM.

Throttle and Spur Saloon.

We had an awesome turnout at the Throttle and Spur Saloon. Took a rough count of about 65 people. Also noticed about a 3 to 1 ratio of women for men. Some guys were dancing with three or four women at a time. They definitely had a great time.

Played 4 sets as usual and finished up at 1:15 AM.

Olathe Sweet Corn Festival.

Played the big stage again at the 24th Annual Olathe Sweet Corn Festival in Olathe. It is the 13th year for Cabin Fever Band.

Sound was more efficient this year than on the past years. Nice work guys!

Played 45 minutes. We had a great time and ate plenty of Corn! Thanks to the Corn Festival for having us!

A little bigger crowd than the last time.

Andy was a little under the weather, but managed to get through the show.

Good to see old band mate Jan Vandeveer and her husband George. Been a long time. Thanks for coming out!

Played till nearly 8:00 PM.

Central Station

Played Central Station in Grand Junction for the first time.
We had a great time and pretty good turnout. We heard nothing but good reviews.

Sam's Tavern.

Set up at Sam's Tavern again. We were supposed to play there last weekend, but we couldn't make it.

We set up quickly. We didn't mic the instruments this time. It seemed to work out pretty good for the size of the place.

Another good time was had by all. Thanks again to Sam's for having us!

Two Sister's Gastro Pub.

Headed for Montrose to the "Two Sister's Gastro Pub". We are supposed to at this evening fro. 6:00 to 10:00.

We only set up about half of the equipment in the old former church. Not a lot of room. We had everything turned way down. The acoustics in the building were awesome.

We started at 6:30 and played for a very small crowd of about 20 people till 9:15. Not a huge crowd, but a fun time just the same.

Thanks to the two sisters for having us out. We had a blast!

We will back at "Two Sister's" on July 25th.

Sam's Tavern.

Started setting up at 11:00 AM. We were to start playing at 1:00 again this weekend.

There was supposed to be some kind of Montrose High School reunion type party, but they cancelled it the night before. They advertised free drinks and specials. They postponed the party till the 18th of next month. Doesn't look like they will have a band for it. We have prior a engagement for that day at the Throttle and Spur Saloon. We won't be there next month till the 25th.

After we got setup, we went over to a restaurant called 2 Sister's Gastro Pub. We got booked to play there in May.

We played 3 sets before we had 20 people to play for. It was a pretty slow day.

Folks started rolling in at the 4th set. They seemed a little disappointed when we finished up.

Sunday, March 15, 2015

Peggy's Birthday Party At Sam's Tavern.

Started setting up about 11:00 AM.

We played four sets, about and hour each, starting at 1:00. Each break was about 45 minutes.

It was a great time with the biggest crowd to date at Sam's. Thanks to everyone who came out and Happy Birthday to Peggy!

We played our last song at about 7:30 PM. I think it was also the longest time spent playing at one gig. Tore down and got out of there a little after 8:00.

Throttle and Spur Saloon.

Back At Throttle and Spur Saloon. Once again a nice turnout. We all had a great time.

Thanks to everyone for coming out and the Saloon for having us! Looking forward to being back next month.

Sam's Tavern.

Setup and played the monthly 3:00 PM gig.

It was a very good time. Everyone seemed to have a good time, despite our issues.

Evan was a little under the weather and had vocal issues, but fought his way through. Evan drank a little more to compensate and seemed to have a better time than usual.

I myself seemed to have problems remembering lyrics.

We had an off night. They happen on occasion and we hadn't had one in awhile, so we were due.
The show must go on and next month things will go better.

Thank you too all who came out and put up with us.
